Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Eastern Territory is seeking a Community Engagement Manager for the Greater Philadelphia area. This role develops community partnerships, oversees volunteer engagement, and leads outreach initiatives to increase visibility and philanthropic support.

You will collaborate with the Resource Development Senior Manager, recruit and train volunteers, coordinate events and campaigns, and steward relationships with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 1–3 years in community engagement/nonprofit work.
• Experience recruiting, coordinating, training volunteers.
• Strong organizational and budgeting capabilities.
• Proven relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build comprehensive community engagement strategy across Greater Philadelphia.
• Oversee volunteer coordination for events and campaigns, recruiting and training volunteers.
• Develop and steward relationships with community organizations and partners.
• Represent the organization at public outreach opportunities.
• Coordinate and support outreach initiatives like back-to-school and holiday campaigns.
• Vet and manage volunteers per policies.
• Maintain records and report impact using Salesforce and CRM systems.
