Brock & Company Inc. is seeking a Sous Chef for our corporate dining program in Virginia Beach, VA. You will lead daily kitchen operations, supervise production, and ensure high-quality meals and catering within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Comprehension of verbal and written recipes and production orders.
• Background in banquet or catering production preferred.
• Follow health and safety regulations with regard to equipment and hygiene.
• Positive “can-do” attitude.
• Receive, unpack, date, rotate and store deliveries.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods.
• Lifting and moving of food and non-food items within safe limits.
• Adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Produce, prepare and cook soups, sauces, salads, entrees, and catered items.
• Set up stations prior to service with required equipment.
• Assist management in purchasing, inventory control and training.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area per health regulations.
• Provide exemplary customer service in a courteous, helpful manner.
