Job summary

St. Charles Health System seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to lead daily operations across one or more sites, ensuring timely, accurate test results and high-quality service throughout pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic phases.

The role combines technical oversight with people leadership, guiding staff performance, coaching, and competency validation while partnering with Laboratory leadership to drive Lean/Six Sigma improvements and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, TJC, OSHA standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and ensure timely test results.
• Direct staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution across sites.
• Maintain compliance, policies, and quality documentation.
• Provide technical consultation and support process improvements.
