Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to join the Core Lab team. The role involves performing a wide range of chemical, microscopic, and bacteriologic tests with independence, following established protocols.

Responsibilities include interpreting results, correlating with patient history, and assisting in new test development and quality procedures. Rotation to Marlboro Campus Lab is required.

Qualifications

• Three years of related experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent.
• ASCP MT certification preferred if available.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform tests in the assigned area, including complex analyses.
• Interprets test results, correlates with patient history and diagnosis, communicates findings.
• Troubleshoots testing process discrepancies and assists in method development.
