Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting, documents actions and escalates when results are out of control.
• Adheres to regulatory compliance and accreditation standards; follows safety guidelines and proficiency testing protocols.
• Participates in performance improvement by data collection and analysis; supports cost reduction via inventory management.
• Maintains patient privacy and communicates appropriately with patients and care teams.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
