Qualifications

• Bachelor's in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical/physical/biological science.
• Current CLIA Generalist license in the state of practice (or Generalist Trainee permit or Lab Assistant license) with 90 days to obtain license.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB generalist certification within 90 days; academic centers may require discipline certification.
• Must have Windows computer skills and data entry proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens and perform lab tests and calculations for diagnosis and treatment.
• Conduct quality control and evaluate test performance; maintain equipment.
• Calibrate, maintain, and monitor analytical instruments; perform phlebotomy as appropriate; ensure confidentiality.
