Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in medical technology or related science, transcript required.
• Current CLS Generalist license in state of practice OR Generalist Trainee permit and must obtain license within 90 days of hire.
• ASCP/AMT or AAB generalist certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Proficient with data entry and Windows-based software.

Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and specialized laboratory testing with high accuracy within established timeframes.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting, documents actions and escalates when results are out of control.
• Adheres to regulatory and accreditation standards; maintains safety and privacy protocols.
• Participates in performance improvement and supports supply management and cost reduction initiatives.
• Adapts behavior to patient population and maintains professionalism with the care team.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with all policies.
