Qualifications

• Bachelor's in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical/physical/biological science required.
• Current Clinical Lab Scientist Generalist license in the state of practice or Generalist Trainee permit, with license within 90 days of hire.
• ASCP/AMT/AAB generalist certification within 90 days of hire; specific terms apply for Academic Medical Center facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and/or specialized laboratory testing independently within established time frames.
• Performs quality control and instrument maintenance/troubleshooting with appropriate documentation.
• Adheres to regulatory compliance and accreditation standards; participates in proficiency testing.
• Manages supply and reagent inventory to support cost reduction initiatives.
• Interacts with patients and ensures privacy and professional communication.
