Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a laboratory professional to perform analyses on received specimens, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in a fast-paced clinical lab.

The role requires MLS licensure or eligibility, a strong foundation in science courses, and experience with lab systems. The position features a 40-hour work week, day shift with rotating weekends, and eligibility for sign-on and relocation assistance.

Qualifications

• Performs laboratory analyses according to prescribed procedures.
• Maintains quality, efficiency and safety in duties.
• Works with lab equipment and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs, reviews, and reports complex tests per FDA, CAP, AABB, GDHR and Joint Commission.
• Organizes workstation and maintains equipment.
• Troubleshoots testing and QC problems following SOPs.
• Familiar with Laboratory Information System and downtime procedures.
• Assists in teaching or training new staff and students.
