Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Medical Laboratory Scientist for the Core Lab in Georgia. You will perform, review, and report complex laboratory tests ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in all technical duties.

Responsibilities include analyzing results, maintaining LIS, training staff, and supporting inventory and safety measures. MLS certification or eligibility within 12 months is required.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and a BA/BS in science.
• Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MT/MLS/CLS) or eligible with certification within 12 months.
• Core Lab and hematology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform, review, and report complex lab tests per procedures and standards.
• Process workload timely; organize station and maintain equipment.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot QC problems, and document in LIS.
• Prepare reagents and manage stock to reduce waste and cost.
• Assist training of new staff and students; participate in safety.
