Job summary

Care New England is seeking a Core Lab Supervisor to ensure efficient operation of the Core Lab under the direction of the Core Lab Manager. You will oversee operations, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement activities.

The role includes administrative leadership, staff supervision, equipment and supply management, and participation in teaching or bench work as needed. Confidentiality and patient rights remain a priority.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of clinical laboratory operations, quality assurance practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated judgment, exercise of initiative, supervisory, teaching, administrative and technical skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication and ability to build collaborative relationships.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard sensitive patient information.

Responsibilities

• Assists with scientific and technical oversight.
• Manages the administrative functions of the lab.
• Effectively manages the department staff.
• Maintains necessary usage and replacement of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains and promotes professional development of self and staff.
• Performs routine technical bench work for teaching purposes or in the event of staff shortages.
• Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality.
• Performs other related tasks assigned by the Core Lab Manager.
