Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor for Core Lab across campus locations. You will oversee daily staff, ensure accurate and timely test results, and ensure compliance with CAP, Joint Commission, and CLIA requirements.

You will develop training plans, review procedures, and support instrument maintenance while coordinating cross-campus coverage and travel based on operational needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a clinical laboratory science field or equivalent with relevant bioscience coursework.
• National certification as MLS/MT or equivalent per CLIA/CAP guidelines.
• Strong leadership and staff supervision experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day supervision of laboratory staff and workflow.
• Ensures lab results comply with procedures and quality standards.
• Leads competency documentation and staff training.
• Coordinates scheduling and cross-campus coverage and travel as needed.
• Ensures regulatory compliance with CAP, Joint Commission, and CLIA.
