Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the core laboratory operations, ensuring accurate testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflows. You will lead staff, maintain quality control, and drive safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities include managing daily testing, SOP implementation, instrument validation, and collaboration with other teams to address service issues and optimize lab performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current certification as Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist preferred.
• 4+ years clinical lab experience; supervisory/lead experience desired.
• Proficient with LIS and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the clinical/core laboratory.
• Ensure CLIA and Joint Commission compliance and quality control programs.
• Monitor QA and proficiency testing; manage scheduling and performance.
• Train and mentor staff; maintain competency documentation.
• Develop and implement SOPs; collaborate on process improvements.
• Investigate testing issues and initiates corrective actions.
• Oversee instrument validation and new assay/equipment deployment.
• Manage inventory and service schedules for reagents and equipment.
