Job summary

East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL seeks a Core Float Procedural RN - Nurse Support to provide holistic nursing care and medication administration. The role emphasizes adherence to care pathways and ongoing education for patients and families.

The position requires an Associate degree in nursing, AL nursing license, and 2 years of recent acute care experience, with ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and possibly PALS within specified timelines. Perioperative experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing or equivalent.
• 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Alabama Board of Nursing license required.
• ACLS must be obtained within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire date.
• PALS within 1 year of hire date (if required in work area).
• NIHSS within 90 days of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic, systematic way.
• Administers medications according to standard nursing practice.
• Uses guidelines, protocols, or pathways for care delivery.
