Job summary

Visual Edge IT is seeking a copier/printer technician to join a nationwide team. This field-based role includes a company vehicle and training, with opportunities for growth as you service and maintain copiers and printers for diverse clients.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years in the field, strong mechanical/electrical aptitude, and excellent customer service. Travel to client sites is required; lifting up to 100 lbs is occasionally needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with proven troubleshooting skills.
• Prior experience servicing office equipment such as copiers and printers preferred; Xerox, Ricoh, Kyocera, or HP experience a plus.
• An associate degree or higher in electronics or electrical engineering is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of networking and computer systems.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (must meet company vehicle eligibility requirements).

Responsibilities

• Maximize equipment uptime by responding quickly and completing effective, efficient repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure proper functioning of copiers, printers, and related devices.
• Diagnose technical issues using customer feedback, electronic data, and observations.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through clear communication and dependable service.
• Partner with clients, sales teams, and internal staff to meet deadlines and ensure smooth operations.
• Accurately complete service documentation, including parts usage, call closures, and meter readings.
• Provide feedback to improve processes and support continuous improvement efforts.
• Some travel is required.
