The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s KBK Center for Student Leadership and Service seeks a Coordinator who will oversee the Resource Room, student staff, and tenant operations, ensuring efficient service and equitable access to campus resources.
You’ll manage budgets, coordinate programs, and partner with departments to support student organizations, leadership development, and campus events within a dynamic Office of Student Life.
The Coordinator for the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service is an integral staff member within the Office of Student Life. Ohio Union and Student Activities department. Located within the Ohio Union, the Keith B. Key Center for Student Leadership and Service (KBK Center) serves as a unique hub for student involvement on campus offering opportunities for students to connect with leadership and service initiatives, utilize meeting spaces, engage with student organizations, and access office supplies and services via the Resource Room.
This role manages operations and resources within the Keith B. Key Center for Leadership and Service including the Resource Room’s daily operations and student staff; student organization offices and lockers; meeting spaces; and community building programs in the Center.
- Distribute and allocate resources and space for student organizations and UCLA/office supplies;
- Supervise daily operations of the Resource Room and manage a team of approximately 20–25 undergraduate student employees and student managers;
- Provide access to supplies, printing, equipment, and other resources in support of registered student organizations, university departments, and individual students;
- Oversee student employee recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and professional development;
- Establish and monitor customer service and operational standards to ensure consistent, efficient, and welcoming service;
- Manage Resource Room inventory, supplies, equipment, and service procedures, including assessment of usage and implementation of appropriate resource limits in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Involvement;
- Evaluate and improve workflows to promote operational efficiency and responsible stewardship of resources;
- Monitor all Keith B. Key Center for Leadership and Service expenses and provide budgetary support in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Student Organizations and Involvement;
Coca‑Cola Donation Program Management – 30%
- Serve as program manager and primary campus liaison for the Coca‑Cola Donation Program, supporting student organizations, university departments, and campus programs;
- Supervise the Coca‑Cola Beverage Donation Program student manager to review product requests, send communication, manage distribution, and data collection processes;
- Maintain regular communication with Coca‑Cola and university stakeholders, serving as the primary point of contact and supporting effective stewardship of the partnership;
- Monitor program utilization, maintain records and reporting, and evaluate processes to support efficient and equitable distribution of available resources;
- Address escalated program concerns related to request denials and product delivery;
KBK Center & Student Organization Tenant Operations – 20%
- Manage the Student Organization Tenant Program, supporting the operational and space needs of more than 100 student organization office and locker tenants;
- Oversee the tenant application and selection process, space assignments, tenant agreements, communication, and ongoing tenant support;
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and systems that promote equitable and effective use of tenant spaces and resources;
- Coordinate community‑building and educational initiatives for tenant organizations, including information sessions, Open House activities, and other programs designed to connect organizations with available resources;
Miscellaneous – 5%
- Support the Student Org Team with annual registration requirements as needed;
- Attend weekly department and team meetings;
- Contribute to department strategic planning efforts;
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master’s Degree
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, education, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; customer service experience.
Years of relevant experience required: 3
4–8
Master’s degree in higher education and student affairs or related field; facility and operations management experience; experience overseeing and streamlining processes and procedures; experience working with college students at a large collegiate institution; stakeholder management experience; demonstrated skill in working with diverse communities and cultural groups; program planning experience.
The pay range for this role is $48,000–$53,000. The offer for this position will be based on internal equity, unit’s available budget, and the candidate’s qualifications.
