Job Summary:
This position plays a critical role in the comprehensive administration, compliance oversight, and operational execution of employee benefit programs. This role supports faculty and staff across multiple campuses and employment classifications. The incumbent supports payroll and Human Resources Information System (HRIS) functions, ensures accurate enrollment, regulatory compliance, system integrity, vendor coordination, and employee education across a broad portfolio of benefit offerings, including health and welfare plans, retirement programs, and voluntary benefits. The position collaborates cross-functionally to resolve complex benefits-related issues and supports Human Resources (HR) strategic initiatives.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Performance Requirements*
- Supports leader in administrative activities including, but notlimited to, information distribution, invoicing, andreporting
- Completes various administrative projects, including expensereports and payment of invoices and contracts, composing andpreparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential, andcompiling documents for dissemination to campus and teamleaders
- Processes or initiates Integrated Postsecondary Education DataSystem (IPEDS) HR data validation and reconciliation activities,1095-Cs management and related reporting, ACO HR accepted/Payableprocess management, and Resource Database with system workflow setup and system ownership
- Partners with the benefits administration team and third-partyvendors to resolve employee concerns and support a positivebenefits experience
- Monitors progress on timely entry, maintenance, and updating ofbenefits-related information in HRIS systems from eligibilitydetermination through termination; assists in identifying andcorrecting data inconsistencies
- Performs batch termination processing by validating separationdata, updating employee records, and ensuring all workflows arecompleted accurately and in compliance with HR policies
- Performs various specialized, complex, sensitive, andconfidential duties related to employee relations, compensation,and employee onboarding
- Provides high-quality customer service to employees and internalstakeholders regarding benefits, leave policies, and HRprocesses
- Conveys information to internal and external partners in acomprehensive, accurate, and effective manner; responds to ad hocrequests as they relate to human resource functions
- Performs billing reconciliation for supplemental and optionalbenefit programs by reviewing vendor invoices, verifying payrolldeductions, and resolving discrepancies in collaboration withinternal stakeholders and external providers
- Assists with internal and external audits by preparingdocumentation, verifying data, and supporting audit inquiries

- Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
- Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the assigned departmentleader

Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years’ working experience relatedto the Essential Performance Requirements; or any equivalentcombination of experience and education
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration,Communications, or Psychology
- Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional(SHRM-CP) or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification(s)
- At least one (1) year of experience with reporting, dataextraction, and data analysis
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of public-sector or higher education benefitsadministration, including best practices and regulatoryimplications
- Knowledge of HR administration integrations, specifically withpayroll and its processes
- Knowledge of retirement plan structures, particularly within astate system environment
- Skilled in using benefit enrollment applications and enterprisesystems, including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentationsoftware with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel formulas, analysistools, and reporting
- Skilled in strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry,payroll processing, and reconciliation
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships, including listening, verbal, and writtencommunication
- Ability to interpret benefits-related documents, policies, andexplain complex information clearly to employees
- Ability to manage complex processes with minimal supervision andtake initiative in problem-solving
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-orientedenvironment
- Ability to think critically and communicate effectively in afast-paced environment with varied and unpredictable workdemands
- Ability to adaptively perform and prioritize multiple tasks andprojects seamlessly, ensuring accurate and timely completion, whileexhibiting strong attention to detail and organization
