Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL seeks a Unit Health Coordinator to provide administrative and unit-based coordination support for a nursing unit. You will facilitate workflow, handle documentation, and liaise with care teams to ensure a high-quality patient experience.

The role is hourly, part-time (12 hours/week) with a 6pm–6am shift. Candidates should have a High School Diploma and strong interpersonal/communication skills, plus solid computer proficiency.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Health Coordinator provides administrative, clerical, and unit-based coordination support for an assigned nursing unit, including computer operations and telephone/communication management. Serves as a key liaison for the nursing care manager, staff nurses, physicians, ancillary departments, patients, and visitors by facilitating efficient workflow, supporting accurate documentation, and contributing to a high-quality patient care experience within scope of role.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to patient-centered care.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience: 6 months' experience of office, hospital, administrative duties, customer service, and computer knowledge.
