Job summary

Clover Farm Dairy in Reading, PA seeks a Cooler Supervisor to directly supervise the Cooler department, planning, directing, and coordinating activities to maximize productivity on assigned shifts. You will collaborate with plant leadership to ensure safety, quality, and efficient shipping and warehouse operations.

The role requires leadership experience, familiarity with GMP and sanitation policies, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 2 years plant experience.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Ability to follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer based applications.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs; ability to lead others through change.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Skill in organization, prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
• Bilingual Spanish a plus
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).

Responsibilities

• Directly supervises and coordinates all activities in the Cooler department to maximize productivity on assigned shifts.
• Plan, assign and direct work; coordinate weekly CI Meetings.
• Maintain inventory and control product loss; ensure safety/operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with Plant Management and Supervisory Staff to maximize productivity in warehouse and shipping.
• Establish and monitor employee work schedules to meet business needs.
• Recommends improvements to reduce cost and drive productivity within the department.
• Analyze and resolve work problems; assist staff as needed.
• Maintain time and shipping records; prepare management reports.
• Ensure cooler area is clean and organized at all times.
• Train employees in shipping and warehouse duties; enforce policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
