Job summary

Insomniacookies is seeking team members for the Cookie Crew at our U of I store, 502 E John St, Champaign IL 61820. You’ll greet guests, take orders, bake fresh cookies, and ensure hot, accurate delivery of items while delivering a warm experience on-site and over the phone.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service focused role preferred.
• Personable, genuine, outgoing demeanor.
• Customer service focused and a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Great communication, organizational, and math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lb boxes of product.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the store and take orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy.
• Provide a warm experience with a smile in person and over the phone.
• Bake cookies to perfection and provide a scoop of ice cream.
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out.
• Handle cash and payments accurately with no shortages or overages.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain the bakery.

As a member of the Cookie Crew at our U of I store located at 502 E John St, Champaign IL 61820, you are the ultimate Insomniac. You will be the front‑line point person for interacting with our customers, while also baking all of our warm and delicious cookies.
