Job summary

ST JOE RESORT OPERATIONS LLC is seeking a Cook to prepare menu items and support daily kitchen operations at the resort. You will assist with ingredient prep, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food is cooked to proper temperatures while following safety policies.

The role requires basic kitchen knowledge and ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain) with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Ability to read product labels and communicate basic job-related information.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and safe food handling.
• Culinary coursework or certification.
• ServSafe certification (may be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Set up and break down assigned stations and ensure readiness for service.
• Assist with ingredient preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, and chopping as needed.
• Maintain proper cooking temperatures, times, and techniques for quality.
• Transfer ingredients and supplies to storage with correct labeling and rotation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, prep areas, and equipment.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning and sanitation tasks; trash removal.
• Assist with deliveries and inventory handling.
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards per regulations.
• Attend meetings and trainings; contribute ideas for improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
