Job summary

The St. Joe Company/St. Joe Resort Operations is seeking a Cook at WaterSound Beach Club in Watersound, FL to support daily kitchen operations and maintain safety and sanitation standards. You will prepare menu items, assist with ingredient prep, and ensure proper storage and cleanliness.

Candidates should have culinary training or experience, ServSafe certification or be willing to obtain it, and enjoy working in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment at a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read product labels and communicate basic job-related information.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and safe food handling.
• Previous kitchen or culinary experience in a hotel, resort, or restaurant.
• Culinary coursework or certification.
• ServSafe certification (may be obtained after hire).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Set up and break down assigned stations for service.
• Assist with ingredient preparation and maintain quality.
• Maintain proper temperatures, times, and techniques.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Keep the kitchen clean and organized, including equipment and workstations.
• Report safety hazards or equipment issues immediately.
• Attend trainings and contribute ideas for improvement.
