Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Carmel, NY is hiring a Cook to prepare meals per standardized recipes, maintain safety, and support dining service. You will ensure quality, follow dietary requirements, and keep accurate production records in a busy senior living kitchen.

The role offers an hourly pay range of 17.00–21.35 with comprehensive benefits and opportunities to contribute to residents’ well‑being and enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator
• You help create an enjoyable dining experience while ensuring safety and compliance
