Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Illinois is seeking a compassionate Cook to prepare high-quality meals that support residents’ health and enjoyment while keeping a safe, clean kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, monitor food safety temperatures, assist with dining service, and help lead production when the Dining Services Coordinator is unavailable.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to standardized recipes and menus
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet Sunrise standards
• Follow dietary modifications and special meal requirements
• Record production quantities and food safety temperatures
• Stock, rotate, date, and store food per safety regulations
• Maintain clean kitchen, storage, and equipment areas
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment maintenance reports
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines
• Support dishwashing and dining service as needed
• Lead food production in the absence of the Dining Services Coordinator

Pay Range:

16.70 - 20.95
