A senior living community in Tupelo is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious and attractive meals for residents. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a cooking role, with a strong understanding of food safety procedures. Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Must maintain food handlers permit and any required certifications.
• Maintain food handlers permit and any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
• Understands food safety procedures, sanitation and storage techniques.
• Meet health-related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Record for instructions.
• Prepare meals according to company menus.
• Clean kitchen after meals according to schedule.
• Clean kitchen after meals per cleaning schedule and sanitize areas.
• Attend onboarding, annual training, in-services and team meetings as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.

Cook Responsibilities:

• Review menus and Daily Food Production Record for instructions
• Prepare meals that are nutritious, appetizing, and attractive according to company menus
• Adhere to proper procedures for covering, dating, labeling, and storing food in a timely manner
• Clean kitchen after meals according to cleaning schedule, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors
• Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services and team member meetings as requested
• Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef
