Job summary

Royal Suites Healthcare in Galloway, NJ is seeking an experienced cook to manage the flow of food from delivery to service and to provide gourmet meals for residents. You will work closely with kitchen staff to prepare menu items and adhere to diets and production sheets.

The role requires teamwork, accuracy, and a strong understanding of food safety, sanitation and quality standards. Shifts run 12pm–8pm with a starting rate of $19.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional cook.
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned task.
• Serv Safe certification or equivalent.

We are looking for a professional cook to work with the flow of food from deliver to point of service. Cook duties will play a key role in providing gourmet meals to our loved residents.

Responsibilities:

• Have the ability to work as a team player in a professional manor.
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow food service director.
• Able to understand production sheets and diets.
• Be able to produce diet textures such as chop, ground and purees.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
