Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with high-volume culinary operations experience.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately.
• Strong focus on kitchen sanitation and food safety.
• Experience with inventory management and basic recipe development.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation following standardized recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Plate and garnish cooked items to ensure attractive presentation.
• Assist Dietary Manager by serving as a liaison during their absence.
• Maintain high sanitation standards for kitchen and equipment.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and assist with purchasing and recipe updates.
• Flexibly handle last-minute requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
