Job summary

WellBridge of Grand Blanc is seeking a Cook to join our EPIC culinary team. You will prepare nourishing meals, work with the Executive Chef on menus, and ensure meals comply with safety and portion controls.

Shifts available include days or afternoons with no late nights. Starting wage is $16.80 per hour base rate, plus Hero Pay of $0.85/hour, with yearly wage increases and a comprehensive benefits package, including holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) with employer match, and referral

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in supervisory capacity.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Team player and supportive of the team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production to align with meal serving times ensuring quality, temperature and appearance.
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning requirements.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests and visitors.

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience are provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn:

• Starting Wages: $16.80 per hour base rate

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• 8 hour shifts

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures.
