Job summary

NexCare WellBridge Senior Living in Grand Blanc, MI is seeking a Cook to join our EPIC Culinary Team. You will prepare meals under the guidance of the Executive Chef, ensuring quality, proper temperature, and attractive presentation while following safety and sanitary standards.

We offer 8 hour shifts, both full-time and part-time roles, with holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, 401k matching, and opportunities for career advancement within our 27 facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care.
• You are a team player, dedicated to doing what it takes to support your team members and get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved.
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen.
• You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in our every daily interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors.

Our cooking prepares amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience are provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn:

• Starting Wages: $16.80 per hour base rate
• PLUS Hero Pay($0.85 hour!)

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• 8 hour shifts

• Days or Afternoon Shifts available - no late nights!
