Job summary

Cascade Senior Care Center in Jackson, MI is seeking a Cook to join our EPIC team. You will prepare nourishing meals, follow portion control, sanitation rules, and work with the Executive Chef to review menus and ensure quality and consistency across service times.

This part-time role offers starting wages around $17.85 per hour with hero pay incentives, yearly increases, and a comprehensive benefits package including tuition reimbursement, medical, PTO, 401k, and life insurance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production to align with meal serving times, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning requirements.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests and visitors.

Join our EPIC team at Cascade Senior Care Center!

Our Cook will prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience is provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.

You will earn: Starting $17.85 per hour!!

• Starting wages $17.00 per hour

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• Part Time position with rotating weekends and some holidays
• Day Shift

How you will help people every day:

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved
• You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
• You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
