Job summary

Cascade Senior Care Center in Jackson, MI is seeking a part-time Cook to join our EPIC team. You will work with the Executive Chef to prepare meals, ensure quality and sanitary standards, and coordinate production with serving times for excellence.

Starting wages are $17.00 per hour with yearly wage increases. We offer best-in-class benefits including tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 per year, medical with no deductible, generous PTO, 401k with employer match, and more.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations.
• Coordinate food production to meet meal serving times with a focus on quality, temperature, and presentation.
• Assist with tray line setup and plate assembly as needed.
• Assist with daily kitchen cleaning requirements.
• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.

They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.You will earn:

We can work with your scheduling needs:

• Part Time position with rotating weekends and some holidays

How you will help people every day:

• You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
• You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature and appearance are achieved

What you will need to be part of ourEPICteam:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Computer Skills
• At least 2 years of related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures. Experience in a Long Term Care facility is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!
