Job summary

Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ is seeking a Cook, 2nd to join our hospital kitchen team. You will prepare a variety of patient and cafeteria meals, follow standardized recipes, and maintain food safety and quality standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 3 years of cooking experience, with preference for Cook Chill experience and a culinary degree. Competency in safety, equipment operation, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Trade/Vocational culinary degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble supplies, food and equipment for daily preparation.
• Follow standardized recipes and maintain quality and nutrition.
• Set up foods on patient/cafeteria line following diagrams.
• Maintain department policies, safety, and infection control.
• Report needs to Purchasing/Production Coordinator and ensure proper records.
