State of New Hampshire Veterans Home in Tilton, NH is seeking a Cook II for a full-time, first-shift role (10:30am–7:15pm) with weekend rotation. The position offers a competitive hourly wage in the posted range and comprehensive state benefits.

The successful candidate will prepare meals per approved recipes, operate and maintain kitchen equipment, and uphold strict health and safety standards in a team-driven environment serving veterans with dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must maintain neat appearance and personal hygiene.
• Experience in large-scale food preparation preferred.
• Ability to read and follow recipes.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods according to approved recipes and menus.
• Operates and cleans all food service equipment.
• Supervise and train staff in kitchen operations.
• Keep production areas clean and sanitized after each task.
