Job summary

Required: 4 years cooking experience or 2 years with a high school diploma or culinary diploma, plus ServSafe Manager certification within 1 year.

Qualifications

• 4 years as a Cook required, or 2 years with a high school diploma or culinary diploma.
• ServSafe Manager certification within 1 year of hire.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Preferred: 2 years in Healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods per standardized recipes and production methods.
• Ensure high quality via safe sanitary handling during prep, service and storage with daily QC checks.
• Operate multiple production stations and verify taste, temperature and presentation for patient, cafeteria, and catering foods.
• Train and orient staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices.
• Lead production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Position Details:

• Location: Winter Haven Hospital – Winter Haven, FL

• Status: Full-time

• Shift: Varies with weekends (2 on 1 off)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes, and production methods.

• Ensures high quality using safe, sanitary food handling techniques during preparation, service and storage and daily quality control checks.

• Works multiple production stations and conducts quality control checks on taste, temperature and presentation on patient, cafeteria, and catering foods.

• Trains and orients selected staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices.

• Leads production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility.

• Performs other duties as necessary.

Experience
