Job summary

BayCare Health System in Riverview, FL is hiring a Cook II to prepare nutritious meals for patients, visitors and staff at St. Joseph's South. You will follow standardized recipes, ensure sanitary handling, and supervise production in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications include 4 years as a cook (or 2 years with HS Diploma or culinary diploma) and a ServSafe Manager certification within 1 year. Healthcare experience is preferred and a HS diploma is required.

• Train and orient selected staff on food production along with safety and sanitation practices.
• Lead production in absence of Executive Chef according to facility.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

• Performs other duties as necessary.

Experience

• Required: 4 years as a Cook / 2 years with high school Diploma or Culinary Diploma

• Preferred: 2 years in Healthcare

Education

• Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification

• Required: ServSafe Manager food safety certification within 1 year of hire.
