Job summary

Asbury Communities in Gaithersburg, Maryland, is seeking a Full Time Cook to join their team. You will follow recipes, prepare entrees and ensure food safety during service. The position requires working 40 hours a week, including every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

Job description

Schedule and Pay

• Full time position, 40 hours weekly
• 6:00am-2:30pm
• Every other weekend & holiday required.
• $20.00/hour

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and production sheets, as written, and informs Manager/Supervisor of any adjustments that are made; documents adjustments on production sheets.
• Prepares pan garnishes for "front of the house" operations.
• Sets up steam tables on time and organizes them according to diagrams to avoid delays on tray line; this includes "specials"; reviews all food items on steam tables with Supervisor.
• Ensures all hot food temperatures are at least 165 degrees for entrees, starches and vegetables. Monitors temperatures throughout the meal service.
• Ensures all wells are covered with a lid until serving time.
• Able to work day shift from 6:00am - 2:30pm and every other weekend
• Work alternating holidays
• Able to work at a cafe deli station
• Prepare and cook back of the house hot entrees and sides
