Job summary

Asbury Communities, Inc. is hiring a full-time cook to assist with simple recipes for hot and cold foods, ensuring quality and consistency. You will follow production sheets, inform the Chef of modifications or shortages, and guide attendants on menu offerings while maintaining food safety standards.

Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED and at least 1 year of cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Competitive benefits are available for eligible staff.

• Follows counts designated on production sheets as written.

• Instructs attendants regarding menu offerings and changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Schedule & Compensation

• Full-Time Position
• Hours: 10am-6:30pm
• Every other weekend & every other holiday rotation required
• $17.50/hour.

Job Description

• Assists in simple recipes for hot and cold food preparation. Batch cooks items ensuring optimal food quality; i.e., scrambled eggs, french-fries, vegetables, fish, etc.
• Follows "counts" designated on production sheets as written.
• Informs Chef when a recipe or food production sheet needs to be modified and informs Chef of potential shortages.
• Instructs attendants in regard to menu offerings and/or menu changes.
• Practices standards of food sanitation, infection control, and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED equivalent, required.
• 1+ year(s) cooking experience, preferably in the health care setting.
