Job summary

BayCare Health System in Winter Haven is seeking a dedicated cook to join the Food and Nutrition Services team at Winter Haven Hospital. Responsibilities include preparing foods per standardized recipes, ensuring high quality, and supporting patient and staff meals.

You will train new team members, maintain safe, sanitary handling, and work a flexible schedule including weekends. PRN role offers exposure to a large healthcare system and opportunities to grow within a community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2 years as a Cook / 1 year with high school Diploma or Culinary Diploma required.
• Preferred: 2 years in Healthcare

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of foods according to standardized recipes and production methods, including food preparation for special populations, ensuring high quality using safe, sanitary handling techniques during preparation, service and storage, assists with orienting and training of new team members.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
