Job summary

Hornblower Corp is seeking a Cook I aboard our scenic passenger vessel to prepare, portion, arrange, and garnish hot and cold items, maintain buffet areas, deliver food from galley to dining areas, and help keep buffet and galley operations running smoothly for memorable guest experiences.

This fast-paced shipboard role requires standing for extended periods, lifting items, following ticketing systems, and working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen or culinary experience preferred.
  • Energetic, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to take direction and work well under supervision.
  • Strong communication and service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and efficient hospitality to guests and coworkers following our RESPECT service standards.
  • Maintain and replenish buffet areas to ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation.
  • Rotate food properly and monitor freshness standards.
  • Read and follow ticketing systems to deliver food accurately.
  • Prepare, portion, arrange, and garnish hot and cold food items.
  • Deliver food promptly from the galley to dining areas.
  • Assist with daily galley cleaning, including equipment, surfaces, and floors.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and support additional duties as assigned.
