Job summary

Shamin Hotels is seeking a Cook 1 to join our Food and Beverage team. The role focuses on preparing high-quality dishes following established recipes, contributing to efficient kitchen operations, and maintaining a clean, organized station.

The Cook 1 will work on a specific station and support the kitchen in delivering a positive dining experience. The ideal candidate has basic cooking skills, familiarity with kitchen equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or food service establishment preferred.
• Basic culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Culinary degree or certification from a culinary school (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes to prepare a variety of dishes including appetizers, entrees, and desserts.
• Measure and assemble ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality.
• Cook and season food items according to specified methods and techniques.
• Monitor cooking processes, temperatures, and times to avoid errors.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and station.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely orders and smooth service.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations and proper labeling.
• Assist with inventory and assist leadership as needed.
