Qualifications

• Previous experience as a line cook or prep cook in a restaurant or food service preferred.
• Basic culinary skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to food safety protocols.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
• Culinary degree or certification from a culinary school preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow standardized recipes and guidelines to prepare a variety of dishes.
• Measure and assemble ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and quality.
• Cook and season food items according to specified methods and techniques.
• Monitor cooking processes, temperatures, and cooking times.
• Work on a specific station and coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely prep.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation and storage areas.
• Inspect food products for freshness and presentation; adjust seasoning as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations; maintain kitchen hygiene.
• Communicate effectively with staff and managers to ensure smooth orders.
• Assist with inventory counts and notify leadership of low stock or issues.
