Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Cook I at Indiana State University. You will prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items for all meals in a fast-paced kitchen. You will ensure safety, quality and sanitation while maintaining an organized workstation.

The role requires 0–2 years of related experience, basic kitchen equipment knowledge, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Benefits and ongoing training are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–2 years of related work experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items.
• Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure quality and consistency.
• Estimate food requirements and maintain production records.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized workstation.
• Support kitchen team to meet client requirements.
• Attend to shifts on time and perform other duties as assigned.
