Job summary

Baptist Health Downtown Jacksonville is seeking a Cook I for the Dietary Department. This full-time position is an evening shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Prior kitchen experience and ServSafe is a plus.

You will prepare meals according to recipes and production charts, maintain logs, ensure sanitation, and assist with Hospital at Home meal delivery. The Downtown Main Building location is the base, with a up to $500 sign-on bonus mentioned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Less than 1 year in food service or cooking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mix, portion and cook according to recipes and production charts.
• Perform clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with policies.
• Fill out logs, production charts and cleaning schedules as assigned.
• Cool, pack, and label Hospital at Home meals for delivery.

Baptist Medical Center is looking to add a Full Time Cook I to our Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville.

This is a Full Time evenings opportunity working 2pm to 10:30p. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in multiple areas within the kitchen and be proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods. ServSafe certification is a plus.

As a Cook I, You Will Be Responsible For

• Measuring, mixing, portioning and cooking according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients
• Performing clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies
• Filling out all logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, etc assigned by management in accordance with department policies and procedures
• Cooling, packing, and labelling food for Hospital at Home meal delivery service

Experience Requirements

• Less than 1 year Food Service Experience Preferred
• Less than 1 year Cooking Experience Preferred

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma (Preferred)
• ServSafe (Preferred)
