We have an opening for full-time and part-time COOK positions.

Location: Wolfgang Puck Catering OP02 - 2509 Orchard Parkway, San Jose, CA 95131. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time and part-time schedules. Monday through Friday, hours may vary; AM shifts. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous prep cooking experience is required.

Job Summary

Prepares food according to standards, guidelines, and regulations, ensuring quality service at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepares high-quality food items according to recipes to meet schedules.
2. Serves meals or prepares for delivery, ensuring correct portioning, temperature, and presentation. Tastes all prepared food.
3. Uses ticket collection procedures during service. Keeps records from work areas.
4. Cleans kitchen after preparation, maintains cleanliness, and stores or discards excess food properly.
5. Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized.
6. Operates and maintains kitchen equipment.
7. Assists in planning, record keeping, and reporting.
8. Assists with ordering and receiving food and supplies.
9. Reports maintenance issues or accidents.
10. Attends safety and in-service meetings.
11. Maintains good relationships with coworkers and customers.
12. Performs job safely, maintaining a clean, safe environment.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
14. Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
15. Personal commitment to safety.
16. Follows all policies, including safety protocols like using gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques.
