Job summary

Benedictine Health System is seeking a culinary services professional to prepare hot and cold items for patients, residents and staff, and to lead Culinary Services Aides in daily operations. Travel within the Benedictine communities in the assigned region is required.

The role emphasizes food safety, portion control and adherence to dietary guidelines while supporting the Benedictine Mission and Core Values in day-to-day work. This is a full-time position offering a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Quantity food production experience.
• Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course, or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

• Prepares food following food safety guidelines, diet restrictions and standardized recipes.
• Serves food according to portion control guides and diet restrictions.

Overview

Prepare both hot and cold food items for patients, residents, visitors and staff. Serve food, clean equipment and work area, and put stock away. Lead Culinary Services Aides in day-to-day operations and actively participate in all culinary training. This position will be required to travel and provide care at all Benedictine communities within the assigned region as needed/required.
