Job summary

Benedictine is seeking a Cook/Lead for food service to prepare hot and cold meals for patients, residents, visitors and staff across Benedictine communities in Minnesota. You will lead Culinary Services Aides in day-to-day operations and support culinary training while traveling within the region as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity food production.
• Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course or completion within the first 90 days of employment.

• Lead Culinary Services Aides in day-to-day operations and participate in culinary training.
• Travel to Benedictine communities within the assigned region as needed.
• Operate, clean and sanitize foodservice equipment and work areas.
• Prepare food following safety guidelines, diet restrictions and recipes.
• Serve food according to portion control guides and diet restrictions.
• Promote the Benedictine Mission and Core Values in daily activities.
• Perform other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Job description

Prepare both hot and cold food items for patients, residents, visitors and staff. Serve food, clean equipment and work area, and put stock away. Lead Culinary Services Aides in day-to-day operations and actively participate in all culinary training. This position will be required to travel and provide care at all Benedictine communities within the assigned region as needed/required.

• Operates, cleans, and sanitizes foodservice equipment and work area.
• Prepares food following food safety guidelines, diet restrictions and standardized recipes.
• Serves food according to portion control guides and diet restrictions.
• Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company.
• Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications Required

• Quantity food production experience
• Completion of an approved food safety sanitation course, or completion within the first 90 days of employment

$30.00/hr
