Sodexo is seeking a Cook at The Pembroke Hill School in Kansas City, MO to prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold items for all meals and events, upholding Sodexo’s culinary standards in a fast-paced kitchen. Weekdays shifts; Full-Time or Part-Time.

A High School diploma or equivalent, 0–2 years’ experience, and the ability to read and follow recipes are required. Strong food-safety practices and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsabilités

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards and regulations.
• Follow recipes and directions for preparing and serving foods.
• Estimate food requirements and keep records to plan production.
• Significant walking or mobility required in shift.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Attends work on scheduled shift on time.
• Other duties may be assigned based on business needs.
