Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery is seeking a Cook to prepare menu items in accordance with company policies and standards. You will support the kitchen team, ensuring guest satisfaction and a clean, safe work environment under the direction of the Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty.

You will perform duties to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency, including proper portioning, cooking times, and sanitation practices, while adapting to peak periods and high-volume service.

Qualifications

• Basic sanitation, safety, and customer service training provided in-house.
• Clear communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work well groomed, in a clean uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Operates, cleans and maintains kitchen line equipment and storage areas.
• Stocks and rotates products on the cooking line.
• Knows cooking stations, menu items and prep procedures for correct portions and timing.
• Cooks and prepares menu items per guest requests while following safety procedures.
• Monitors temperatures to prevent foodborne illness.
• Identifies and corrects issues to maximize guest satisfaction.
• Communicates with Manager on Duty about any issues.
