Job summary

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Cook to prepare menu items per company standards and assist in delivering a high-quality guest experience. You will work under Kitchen Manager or Manager on Duty to maximize satisfaction and maintain a positive work environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, operating kitchen equipment, ensuring proper temperatures, and collaborating with staff to meet guest requests.

• Basic sanitation and safety skills taught in-house.
• Clear communication is required.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work well groomed, in a clean and proper uniform, and maintains good personal hygiene.
• Uses, maintains, and cleans kitchen line equipment and storage areas.
• Stocks and rotates products on the cooking line.
• Has knowledge of cooking stations, menu items and prep procedures to ensure correct portions and timing.
• Cooks and prepares menu items per guest requests following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Monitors food temperatures to reduce risk factors of foodborne illness.
• Communicates with the Manager on Duty and coworkers about deficiencies, safety issues, etc.
