American Senior Communities seeks a Cook to join our culinary team in Indiana. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, follow standardized recipes, and ensure sanitation standards are met in a busy kitchen environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to state and federal food-safety regulations, and capability to lead kitchen staff during meal preparation and service. Full-time hours are available.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 years related experience or training.
• Preferred: Sanitation/Safe Food Handling certification.
• Preferred: Prior institutional and/or healthcare service experience.

Mansioni

• Follows recipes and prepares food per menus meeting residents' nutritional needs.
• Cooks meals in appropriate quantities, ensuring palatability and nutrition.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during food preparation and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food according to procedures and regulations.
